Warden’s Barren is a snowy tundra, full of craggy, snow-covered peaks and glaciers. Most of the Barren is covered in snow year round, and the temperatures are almost always below freezing. Most of the towns are on mountains and in caves, out of the way of the cold winds that constantly blow across the land. The Capitol city is nestled away between several mountains, on a plateau created by the intersection of several peaks. The Barrens are home to some of the most finely crafted churches and temples in the land. Among the peaks religion has flourished, and many clerics, monks, and paladins make special journeys to train or study at their holy places. The religions practiced in Warden’s Barren are mostly centered around the gods of Death and Air, two things that come swiftly to folk in the mountain tops. Other gods also have temples and churches, however, where the most devoted of their followers study and pray.
